Sannai-Maruyama Archaeological Site
青森市に位置する縄文時代前期から中期（約5,900年前〜4,000年前）の大規模な集落跡です。2021年には、「北海道・北東北の縄文遺跡群」のひとつとして、ユネスコ文化遺跡に登録されました。農耕に頼らず、自然と共に暮らした縄文人の知恵と工夫にふれられる、世界でも貴重な場所です。
located in Aomori City,is a large-scale settlement dating back to the early to middle Jōmon period—around 5,900 to 4,000 years ago.In 2021, it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage siteas part of the “Jōmon Prehistoric Sites in Northern Japan.”Unlike agricultural societies, the Jōmon people lived in harmony with nature,developing unique ways of life that reflect deep wisdom and ingenuity.This rare archaeological site offers a fascinating glimpse into one of the world’s oldest sustainable cultures.

Aomori Museum of Art
三内丸山遺跡のすぐ隣にある青森県立美術館。建築家・青木淳が設計したこの建物は地域に根ざした芸術文化と、世界に通じる現代アートを両方楽しめる体験型の美術館です。遺跡の発掘現場から着想を得て設計されたユニークなデザイン。地下に掘り込まれたような白い空間が印象的で、訪れるだけで非日常を感じられるスポットです。世界的なアーティストの奈良美智をはじめ、棟方志功、寺山修司、成田亨など、青森にルーツを持つ個性豊かな芸術家たちの作品がそろっています。
Located next to the Sannai-Maruyama archaeological site,the Aomori Museum of Art is a unique, immersive space designed by architect Jun Aoki.nspired by the nearby excavation site, the museum’s striking architecture—white, sunken galleries that seem carved into the earth—invites visitors into a world apart from the everyday.This museum bridges local heritage and contemporary global art,featuring works by internationally renowned artist Yoshitomo Nara, as well as celebrated Aomori-born creators such as Shikō Munakata, Shūji Terayama, and Toru Narita.It’s a place where tradition and modern expression meet, offering a truly unforgettable cultural experience.Born from a desire to offer travelers from around the world a home in Aomori,we renovated a traditional Japanese house lovingly passed down from my grandfather.Now,as a one-group-per-day private stay,it welcomes guests as The New Home Aomori.

青森の海は新緑が海岸線に映え、夏は深い青と緑のコントラストが爽快。秋は夕陽が海に溶け込み、茜色のグラデーションが感動的。冬は波が荒れ、海の持つ厳しさと力強さも感じられます。まさに「四季の海」が楽しめる場所です。

冬の八甲田は世界的にも有名な「樹氷（スノーモンスター）」。氷点下の風と雪にさらされた木々が幻想的な氷の彫刻となって立ち並びます。パウダースノーが豊富で、スキーやスノーボード、バックカントリーの聖地としても人気。静寂に包まれた白銀の世界は、まるで時間が止まったかのような感覚を与えてくれます。
